Genomic Analysis at Scale: Mapping Irregular Computations to Advanced Architectures
The first webinar in the SIAG-ACDA Online Seminar Series took place in December 2021. In it, Katherine Yelick, University of California Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, gives an overview of several high-performance genomic analysis problems, describes some of the challenges and opportunities of mapping these to petascale and exascale architectures, describes some of the common computational patterns or “motifs” that inform parallelization strategies, and much more. Watch the webinar here.
