Students and postdocs looking for job and career advice: Join us for an in-person professional development workshop from 6:15 - 8:15 p.m. EST July 14, 2022, during SIAM Annual Meeting (AN22) in Pittsburgh, PA. During the two-hour event, participants will learn the differences between industry, academia and startups, and how to make a decision about which route best suits you. You’ll learn how to hunt for jobs and internships in industry, the value of networking and referrals, and the realities of the job market. You will leave this workshop with a better understanding of career options in business, industry, and government and with a framework for planning a satisfying career that leverages your strengths.
The workshop, which is supported by a generous gift from Philippe and Claire-Lise Tondeur, will be run by Zhennovate, an organization that provides professional coaching and learning workshops focused on career and leadership development. This is an in-person event and you must be registered for AN22 to attend. The workshop has a limited number of seats and will require some pre-session and post-session work.
