Matthew Posey, Director of Information Systems
Matthew Posey comes to SIAM from Kemberton Healthcare Services where he held the position of Managing Director of Information Technology. Prior to Kemberton, Matt was the Director of Information Technology for Professional Receivables Network, LLC (PRN) and Sage Capital Recovery, a subsidiary of PRN. In those positions Matthew was responsible for building the IT department from the ground up and supporting the rapid evolution of technology demands during their significant growth since 2006. Matthew is a graduate of Drexel University where he earned his B.S. in Information Systems.
Q: Why are you excited to be working at SIAM?
A: I have worked in healthcare IT for over a decade and am looking forward to the change in industry and bringing my private sector experience to SIAM.
Q: Why do you think STEM is important?
A: Occupations within STEM have recently grown at a higher rate than any other sector. For children that will be coming of age in the current economy, a strong understanding of science disciplines is necessary now more than ever to be competitive in a labor market where automation has displaced so many positions in manufacturing and services.
Q: What is one thing that most people do not know about you?
A: I am a musician and have played both upright and electric bass since childhood. I also enjoy and have played recreational league soccer for many years.
