SIAM Welcomes Khaleya Spence

The team here at SIAM has grown recently, bringing aboard Khaleya Spence as the Marketing and Communications Assistant.

Khaleya currently attends American University and is working toward her M.A. in Communications; much of her coursework focuses on public relations, social media, and strategic planning. Khaleya is from Bucks County, PA, and graduated from Temple University in 2018 with a B.A. in Strategic Communication. Her previous work experience focused on increasing communication efforts and advocating for child welfare policy reform. In the future, she hopes to do more professional work in web development and communications for nonprofit organizations. Outside of work, Khaleya spends a lot of time traveling, being with family, playing video games, and taking care of her dog-child, Emerald.

Khaleya’s responsibilities as the Marketing and Communications Assistant include management of conference web edits, social media posting, press releases, and blogs.
