The team here at SIAM has grown recently, bringing aboard a new Editorial Assistant in the Book Acquisitions Department. Get to know Mellisa Pascale!
Mellisa Pascale, Editorial Assistant
Mellisa comes from a family of people who can’t spell, hence her name. Fortunately, she’s had better luck with grammar and is excited to join the SIAM team as an Editorial Assistant. She used to work in marketing/PR and then took off to spend a year traveling in New Zealand, Australia, Mongolia, and Japan. In her spare time, she freelances as a content writer and goes hiking with her dog, Bailey.
Q: Why are you excited to be working at SIAM?
A: I’m looking forward to helping industry leaders connect with the SIAM team and publish their ideas.
Q: Why do you think STEM is important?
A: STEM helps us understand the world and make innovative strides towards utilizing and preserving its resources.
Q: What is one thing that most people don't know about you?
A: I went skydiving in New Zealand and definitely talked it up, but it was also terrifying and I probably wouldn’t do it again.
