Resources for Careers in Applied Mathematics

A career in applied mathematics is more than crunching numbers. It's being able to use mathematics to solve real-life problems and make an impact in the world. A cross-section of organizations hire mathematicians and computational scientists., including companies in business and industry, government labs, and academia.

SIAM members have the quantitative, mathematical, computing, and analytical skills that are needed in today’s marketplace. That is why SIAM regularly hosts career fairs, like the one happening November 9, where hundreds of community members from leading institutions and companies will have the opportunity to connect with top employers in the field, who are hiring!
