“Postgraduate” Membership Renamed “Early Career”

Mathematicians who earned their highest degree within the last five years—formerly “postgraduate” members—are now called “early career” members. This change was motivated by two things: “early career” is a more descriptive term, and “postgraduate” has various meanings in different countries, which can cause confusion. These members will still receive a 50% discount off the price of membership for the first three years after attaining their highest degree and 25% off for the two years after that, as well as resources to network with established professionals and peers to find jobs, internships, fellowships, and research opportunities.
